We think of the Fall season as a transition from the summer to autumn and sometimes we as women think that we have to bring it all to the house, but the truth is that we are not supposed to. As a married woman and a mother, I tend to forget that I not only decorate for myself but also for my husband and children. We women fall under the category of adding so much to our homes during this beautiful season and sometimes we might create so much clutter to our homes and in the end, it might not always be pleasant for our families.

Let's talk about the coffee station, although you don't see a coffee maker in this picture, this is my coffee station and I try to keep simple and inviting. I honestly don't like tier trays but I love using white platters like this one, I think they bring so much elegance to the station with just a few simple touches of the fall.

The formal living room is the room where you bring someone who stops by for a quick visit. Let's say someone who wants to sell you a product or definitely someone who is not planning to stay for long. Normally, formal living rooms don't have a television and I like to keep it that way. I always like to keep this room clean and inviting although is not the room to entertain. This is the room where we keep the piano this is also the room where my husband comes on Sundays to have a cup of coffee, study his lesson right before church. This room is supposed to be a room where the family can come to read a book, pray or meditate on the Lord. I am actually in the process of making some tiny changes to this room. As you can see I brought some fall decor into this room but still keeping simplicity as the main goal.

The dining table, as you can see I am not a fall decorator by tradition, in this picture you see fall pieces without the fall colors and I honestly love this idea of doing things you love and portrait them in a way that you will enjoy them. I love following traditions but I also have the tendency of getting bored so quickly if I do things in a way that I am just being a follower and not a leader. For this year I decided that I was going to stick with fresh colors for the fall but still bring those warm touches that will send a message that the fall has arrived. The bottom line, do what you love while still bringing simplicity and joy to your family.

The master bedroom, this room is the most important room in the house. Is the room where we share ideas with our spouses, this is also the room where we have long conversations before going to sleep, the room where we procreate children… it is a very special room. This is the room where I change the sheets according to the season whether is winter or summer. The master bedroom is also the room that you share with your spouse and sometimes with the little ones. As you can see I also like to keep this room clutter-free, keeping in mind that this is the room where we cuddle at night. My husband loves our master bedroom and his favorite night is when he knows that the sheets have been washed and ironed… sounds weird but yes I am one of those who still irons the sheets. One thing that I have learned through the years is that I don't like patterns or flowers on my sheets, once again I get tired so quickly with patterns and this is why I just have solid colors on the bedspread, sheets, or duvet covers.
